7172 - Supply & Delivery of Rip Rap Stone

Iarnrod Eireann has a requirement for the supply and delivery of approx. 8000T of Green Whinstone Rip Rap Stone (700mm – 1 metre approx.. diameter) to a number of locations in Wicklow and Wexford including the following: • Woodenbridge Golf Course, Co. Wicklow. 52.887690, -6.230985 • Avondale Forestry Park, Rathdrum, Co. Wicklow. 52.914737, -6.226239 • Hedge’s compound, Ardcandisk, Co. Wexford. 52.355667, -6.545728 • Macmine Compound, Jamestown, Co. Wexford. 52.355667, -6.545728 • Piggery Crossing, Boggantown Lower, Co. Wexford. 52.302788, -6.444442 The stone is required for use in embankments and in-stream works. Deliveries must be made by rigid lorry between the hours of 08.30hrs – 16.30hrs Tuesday – Friday only. It is anticipated that there will be a requirement for approximately 300T to be delivered per day to a location but this is subject to change depending on progress and work location. Please note that when carrying out instream works IE observes the best practice guidelines stipulated by Inland Fisheries Ireland with regard to the mitigation of risk of introducing non-native species, which could change the local water chemistry.
