GRETB-FET-Connect - Provision of Broadband Connectivity to FET Centres

Galway and Roscommon Education and Training Board (GRETB) was established on the 1st day of July, 2013 under the Education and Training Boards Act, 2013 (accessible at: http://www.irishstatutebook.ie/eli/2013/act/11/enacted/en/print.html (http://www.irishstatutebook.ie/eli/2013/act/11/enacted/en/print.html)).  The Administrative Head Office for GRETB is at An Coiléar Bán, Athenry, Co. Galway.

 

GRETB has an annual staffing of over 1800 providing administrative and educational services from over 50 locations to approximately 20,000 learners including:

  • Local Training Initiatives [For Information Purposes Only]
  • Contracted Training [For Information Purposes Only]
  • Youth Services including the Youth Advocacy Service

The Galway and Roscommon ETB is the Contracting Authority for this project.
 

In order to deliver Technology-Enhanced Learning (TEL), implement a cloud-first infrastructure model and expand our VoIP solutions in our Further Education and Training (FET) Centres, we now seek tenders for the provision of broadband connectivity, which is subject to any existing contracts. As it is unlikely that one provider will be able to delivered the required service to each of our locations, we have split our sites into geographical lots as follows:

 

1.       GRETB FET Broadband Connectivity - Lot 1 (Galway City)

2.       GRETB FET Broadband Connectivity - Lot 2 (Connemara)

3.       GRETB FET Broadband Connectivity - Lot 3 (Roscommon)

4.       GRETB FET Broadband Connectivity - Lot 4 (Galway East and South)

5.       GRETB FET Broadband Connectivity - Lot 5 (Galway North)

 

You are invited to tender for single/multiple/all lots.

 

Please note that a Fixed IP Address is required for each connection.

 

()Any contracts arising from this RFT will be awarded on the basis of the following Award Criteria:

 

Overall Cost [600] of Connectivity including Monthly Costs, Installation and TCO

Suitability for Intended Use [400] including Download Speeds, Upload Speeds, Contention Ratios, SLAs and Contract Terms

 

Please note that it will be a condition of the contract that any successful provider must be able to deliver connectivity within four (4) weeks of being awarded any contract arising from this RFT.

Any contract arising from this RFT should not exceed 31/10/2020 however; we reserve the right to extend the term for a period of three (3) months with a maximum of three (3) such extensions allowed.
