Flood Mitigation of the IDA Land Bank at the National Technology Park, Limerick

The IDA wishes to invite submissions to shortlist 5 companies/organisations with expertise and capabilities relating to civil engineering works including; flood defence works, bulk earthworks and embankment works, surface water attenuation and drainage works. The flood mitigation works will include: Raising and widening of the existing 1.6km long flood defence embankment to 11.5m AOD level Installation of sheet pile cut off wall to depth within the constructed embankment Tie-in constructed embankment to 11.5m contour at western extent and to existing flood defences in eastern extent Construction of four new surface water attenuation ponds Re-routing of existing surface water sewers to attenuation ponds Decommission of existing surface water discharges to the River Mulkear and upgrade of retained discharges to the River Shannon Remediate and repair existing surface water sewers Installation of pumping infrastructure to facilitate surface water discharge to the River Shannon
