ENQEIR630 - SONI UPS Installation Project

This procurement is being run by EirGrid on behalf of SONI Ltd which is part of the EirGrid Group. SONI as Meter Data Provider (MDP) has responsibility for provision of assured power supplies at Distribution connected generator sites. This includes assured power supplies feed, metering infrastructure and associated communication links. Assured power supplies are achieved via provision of Uninterruptible Power Supply Units (UPS’s). SONI now has a requirement for the provision of these UPS’s. The scope of Requirements is expected to include, but is not limited to supply and delivery of 29 on line Uninterruptible Power Supplies. These units are required for providing a secure power source to substation and power station metering equipment installed at various sites throughout Northern Ireland. As this is a Framework, should the requirements change over the duration of the Agreement, this number may increase or decrease in line with the amended requirements. EirGrid intends to establish a single supplier framework. Once the framework agreement is in place, and as and when requirements arise, contracts will be awarded to the framework member either on the basis of the original tender submitted or after discussing the specific Scope of Requirements and agreeing the contract price in accordance with the original tender submission.
