Dublin City Council intends to replace the existing passenger lifts at Ballymun Civic Centre to meet modern standards and compliance with all current Irish and European Lift Regulations. The lift replacement project will be carried out as a complete turnkey project and the successful lift contractor shall be appointed as the main contractor responsible for PSCS. Dublin City Council requires the submission of a fixed price contract for carrying out the replacement of the two (2) passenger lifts, in strict accordance with the tender document ‘Works Document – Volume A’ and in full compliance with the technical specification, to include all necessary builders’ works, decorative finishes, electrical and mechanical works. Tenders must also submit a fixed price for maintaining the existing lift during the project and the new lifts under warranty for a period of 24 months following completion and sign off on all snag items. The works shall be scheduled to commence immediately following appointment and the removal and installation of the Lifts must be completed within a maximum of 250 days from the signing of contracts. Lift no 1 which is currently out of service shall be removed and the shaft prepared in advance of the new lift delivery in order to shorten the overall programme. Contractors are requested to submit their detailed programme with their offer, including shortest possible fast track programme, which must be for a maximum of 250 days. This contract has been awarded to KONE Ireland Ltd on 15/11/2018.
