ITT18-019 - Ventilation and Filtration Units for Laboratory Storage Cabinets

There are 54 laboratories within the headquarters of the Marine Institute in Oranmore. Within these labs there is a requirement to vent 47 cabinets that are either solvent or acid presses. The majority of these cabinets are currently located under Fumehoods and are connected to the fumehood extraction system which currently operate on a 24/7 basis. As part of an ongoing energy efficiency programme, it is the intention of the Institute to switch off the fumehoods when not in use. Standalone extraction systems for the chemical cabinets and acid presses is required. A full technical description of the requirements is available in the attached Invitation to Tender document.
