Trinity College Dublin, the University of Dublin ('Trinity' or the 'University') proposes to engage a Single Point Design Team to develop separate laboratory and student breakout space in an unoccupied space on the ground floor of the Trinity Biomedical Science Institute. The University plans to appoint a consultant via this open procurement process.The details of the project and the procurement process are outlined in the RFT, which can be downloaded after tenderers have registered their interest. The design will Include; • Installation of new fire-rated partitions, screens and doors to laboratory and student spaces. Installation of soundproof partitions between the laboratory and student space and fire rated emergency exits. • Services modification, including lighting, power and data. Alterations to existing ventilation services, including duct-work modification • Laboratory space to include storage areas, write-up and office spaces. • Creation of high quality student space. Installation of platform access lift. • Adjacent rooms are occupied and will remain so during the works. The site is adjacent to an operating railway station pedestrian entrance. A phased approach to the works will be required to minimise disruption. • Common lobby area to include creation of accessible WC Approximate Scale of Project; • Laboratory 125m² • Student Space area 140m² • Common Lobby area 90m²
