RFT for the establishment of a framework for provision of Survey Services and Recruitment of Samples for Experimental Research Purposes

The Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) conducts independent research to inform public policy in Ireland. It has been the foremost centre for policy research on economic and social issues for over five decades. The Institute now seeks to establish a multi-party framework for the Provision of Survey Services (Lot 1) and Recruitment of Samples for Experimental Research Purposes (Lot 2). The framework for Lot 1 will facilitate drawdown of survey services to collect primary data through online, postal, self-completion on site, telephone interviewing by landline and/or mobile telephone or face-to-face survey interviewing. Surveys conducted under this framework will be tailored to address specific questions relevant to a particular research topic. These topics may cover a broad range of social and economic themes and will vary in mode, scale, complexity and cost. The framework for Lot 2 will facilitate drawdown of services by Supplementary Request for Tender (SRFT) for recruitment of samples for experimental research purposes. In the ESRI, the behavioural economics team conduct experiments designed to examine how consumers and firms make economic decisions in key Irish markets, how they are influenced by marketing practices, and to pre-test potential regulatory interventions designed to help consumers make better decisions.
