5/SP/2018 - The Service provider will be required to create a detailed plan for the development of Enniscorthy, its key heritage and natural assets as a unique, innovative and sustainable tourism destination

It is intended that Enniscorthy will become a must see destination in Ireland’s Ancient East and particular focus is required to identify the proposed audience including the identified Culturally Curious and Great Escaper market segments and developing concepts, products and experiences to interest and attract the audience. The plan will optimize the use of the existing potential and opportunities of the study area to deliver a unique and differentiated experience by providing new and innovative product ideas that will provide increased visitor numbers and incremental economic growth. This plan will provide an organised and structured framework for development of a project(s) with defined phases and associated detailed plans for each phase. A detailed development plan is required that can realise the potential of the project in a highly imaginative way with work outputs to include among others: • Options development assessment & evaluation including café and retail concepts; Interpretative concepts; and development of related public realm; • Scoping and development of concepts; • Benchmarking and concept testing; • Defining the optimum proposition and preparing preliminary designs and costings The project aims to develop a significant tourism project focused around the study area and capable of attracting in excess of 100,000 visitors annually.
