Please note that Ireland West Airport Knock is a subscriber to the Achilles Supply-Line Vendor Management System. 

 

The Achilles Supply-Line qualification system operated by Achilles Procurement Services Ltd will be used by Ireland West Airport Knock and its subsidiaries and joint venture partnerships as a source for tenderer selection for the following Project.

 

Ireland West Airport Knock aims to extend the Ireland West Airport Knock runway asset life for a further 15 to 20 years by:

 


• Resurfacing the friction course and replacing the AGL and associated cabling.
• Increasing the runway PCN to accommodate current and future anticipated aircraft size.
• Reinstating the runway markings in accordance with EASA and IAA requirements.

 


Project 1- Professional Services – Design, Engineering & Project Management

 

To support the project development and execution, IWAK anticipates that design, engineering and project management services will be required to undertake and deliver elements of the work.  This may include but is not limited to the following items:

 

  1. Project health, safety and environment support and delivery during design, implementation planning, execution and completion, including regulatory required design and/or construction roles.

  2. Airfield and runway design and engineering, including resurfacing, rehabilitation, AGL and markings.

  3. Airfield pavement design and engineering.

  4. Runway resurfacing methodologies, planning and implementation.

  5. Regulatory compliance including EASA and IAA.

  6. Project controls including schedule programming, estimating, cost control, reporting and risk management.

  7. Project procurement and commercial support including tendering, contract formulation and contract management.

  8. Project management support including project development and implementation planning, construction management, site management.

 

Deadline: Suppliers who wish to be eligible for Project 1 must have a current Level 3 account on Achilles Supply-Line by 17:00 hours GMT on 15th December 2017.

 

 

 

Project 2- Main Works – Construction and Delivery

 

To deliver the runway resurfacing project, IWAK anticipates that construction management and delivery services and capability will be required.  This may include but is not limited to the following items.

 

  1. Project health, safety and environment support and delivery during design, implementation planning, execution and completion, including regulatory required design and/or construction roles.

  2. Airfield and runway design and engineering, including resurfacing, rehabilitation, AGL and markings.

  3. Airfield pavement design and engineering.

  4. Runway resurfacing methodologies, planning and implementation.

  5. Regulatory compliance including EASA and IAA.

  6. Construction project management including logistics, procurement, enabling works, detailed execution planning and commissioning.

  7. Early contractor involvement (ECI) to enable integrated design and execution planning and delivery.

  8. Runway resurfacing construction including planning, surfacing, coring and cutting, AGL removal and reinstatement including cabling, white lining, waste material handling and removal.

  9. Project controls including schedule programming, estimating, cost control, reporting and risk management.

  10. Project procurement and commercial support including tendering, contract formulation and contract management.

  11. Project management support including project development and implementation planning, construction management, site management.

 

Deadline: Suppliers who wish to be eligible for Project 2 must have a current Level 3 account on Achilles Supply-Line by 17:00 hours GMT on 31st December 2017.
