UHG MTHW Decentralisation - Establishment of a Multi Supplier Framework for Decentralisation of the MTHW Campus Heating System at University Hospital Galway

Works to form the Decentralisation of the MTHW Campus Heating System at University Hospital Galway . The works are to be carried out on the site of a live acute hospital and there will be other contracts being carried out on site simultaneously. The duration of the framework will be 4 years. Each of the 4 lots will be tendered separately to the framework contractors. Please note the civil works (trenching & gas pipework below ground) shall be carried out separately by a civil contractor. The mechanical contractor will be responsible for all builders work and electrical works (excluding civils). Overview:- In summary the hospital are in the process of removing their existing steam generating plant and MTHW distribution network & heat exchangers. This will be replaced with local package boilerhouses with high efficient gas condensing boilers, which will be feed by a new natural gas underground and rooftop pipework network. The works are to be carried out over the entire campus and they will be in the immediate vicinity of functioning clinical areas. The breakdown of the project lots and phases involved are detailed in the SAQ document uploaded with this Contract Notice.
