Bord Iascaigh Mhara 2017 - Photography and Videography Services

This tender seeks the production of an up to date high quality video and photographic repository that takes in all aspects of the salmon, mussel and oyster farming industries in Ireland. The video footage collected should be wide ranging and enable subsequent users of the material to be able to tell stories detailing how these fish are produced, who produces them and the benefit these farms bring to local communities. We will want to be able to use the material to explain the process and also demonstrate the passion the producers have for their metier, their heritage and their locality. Aerial perspectives of the farms and their locations and extensive underwater filming will be needed. There may also be the requirement 360 degree or stereoscopic underwater video content that can be used to provide a ‘Virtual reality’ experience. The contracted term will be for an initial period of 6 months. BIM reserve the right to extend the contract for a further one year at the end of the term. This decision will be made at the sole discretion of BIM. As this is a major project covering a wide range of biological cycles which are seasonally dependent it will be necessary to commence the work in November/December 2017.
