UCC/2017/37 - The Supply of a Rapid Milk Composition Analyser

The School of Food and Nutritional Sciences dairy processing halls are equipped with milk separation, homogenisation, thermal processors, and fermentation systems for the manufacture of beverage, yogurt, cheese, butter, ice cream and spray dried products at pilot scale. The Proposed Analyser will replace a previous model which was used to determine the composition of milk, skimmed milk, cream and whey for research purposes and for standardisation of beverages, cheese and milk. The Analyser also plays a significant role in the education of undergraduate students.
