Appointment of Company Auditors

Kilkenny LEADER Partnership seeks expressions of interest from qualified financial auditors to work with KLP in the preparation of their Annual Accounts and other reports required by Programme funders. The expression should state the annual cost of providing the services required as per the specification below. Audit Services required KLP following its AGM of June 2017, now wish to seek tenders for appointment of the company’s Auditors, the appointment will be for five years, subject to renewal annually post the AGM. • A senior point of contact is appointed who will act as the direct contact for KLP staff during the Audit and at all times during the year, should any queries arise. • The Company appointed must demonstrate a clear knowledge and experience of preparation of accounts for a similar organisation, meeting the needs of the various programmes and funders. • The Annual Audit which must be completed three months after the end of the financial year, that being the 31st December 2017. • Annual Accounts must be prepared in line with the Dept. of Public Expenditure and Reform circular 13/2014, or any subsequent circular which may override, amend, or supersede this one. • The Company appointed, must be prepared to work with KLP staff in addressing any inspection or external audit queries, from funders or their nominated inspecting body. • In the preparation of the Annual Audit the appointed auditor will be expected to: o Meet with the Financial Coordinator to discuss with the company on its operation to get a general understanding of the systems in KLP. o Provide the Financial Coordinator with a detailed list of documents required prior to the end of year so that these can be compiled in an audit file. o To liaise with the Financial Administration Team on any issues or queries which may arise in relation to the preparation of the Annual Financial Statements (“Accounts”) o (see attached document for additional info.)
