Wallers Lot Consultancy Services - Civil Engineering Consultancy Services for Waller’s Lot Flood Alleviation Works at Waller’s Lot, Cashel, Co. Tipperary, Ireland.

Tipperary County Council is seeking the services of a competent consulting engineering firm to carry out a thorough detailed analysis of the factors leading to flooding in the Waller’s Lot Area of Cashel and the design, documentation and cost estimate of necessary Flood Attenuation works to protect existing infrastructure and to allow for the maximum development of lands in the area. Waller’s Lot is fed by 2 streams that enter the area in the vicinity of the Dualla Road; the only known outfall is through a sluggaire in the Southern end of the area. A full analysis of the capacity of this sluggaire (and other drainage structures in the area) will be required as well as the 2yr, 10yr, 30yr and 100yr. storm flow rates in the streams and rainfall over the area concerned. The design should allow for the attenuation of the balance between the two, in the form of ponds or other structures. A full topographical survey is included for this area in the Additional Information documentation. Scope: - Act as Project Supervisor Design Process for all stages - A thorough inspection of the existing sluggaire, drainage ditches and structures, and inlet streams. - Investigate options, including upstream storage, and develop model for preferred flood alleviation option - Detailed design of preferred flood alleviation option and preparation of consultation drawings - Prepare cost estimate for construction of preferred option - Presentation of preferred option - Attend public consultation event in Cashel - Preparation of Part 8 Planning Documentation for the preferred flood alleviation option and assist with responses to any submissions received during the Part 8 process - Appropriate Assessment Stage 1, & Stage 2 if required. - Liaison with statutory agencies. - Liaison with private landowners. - Preparation of tender and contract documents for the preferred flood alleviation option.
