A complete rewire of the existing / old section of the school only. Install new containment where required and use existing containment where compliant with the National Rules for Electrical Installations ET101:2008, I.S. 3218:2013, and E.N. 50085 Cable Trunking Systems and Cable Ducting Systems for Electrical Installations. All sockets and light fittings to be individually earthed to current regulations and all lighting services cabling to be in steel trunking with final connections to be steel conduit, all light fittings to be connected through click connection. Remove and decommission the existing outdated electrical wiring installation to all socket outlets and light fittings and remove and replace all sub distribution boards in the existing / old school section only. Install new electrical sub distribution board complete with isolators. Install maintained emergency lighting to both stairwells and upgrading the existing lighting. Emergency exit & directional signs throughout existing / old school to be rewired as maintained fittings. Installation of power and data services in twin compartment trunking to each teaching wall as per current TGD003 for post primary schools. A simple door entry system capable of two-way communication shall be provided (to control entry at the internal door of the school entrance lobby) complete with remote release facility. The unit shall comprise a single button vandal resistant, flush mounted stainless steel entry panel complete with microphone and speaker.
