Chluain Mhuire Park, Galway. - Sports Facility Design project

Galway City Council is seeking to procure Specialist Sports Facility Design Consultants in accordance with the 'Brief provided 'to undertake detailed design work based off existing outline plans approved under planning. To submit and agree pre-tender costings followed by preparing Tender Drawings & Documents for advertisement and appointment of Sports Facility Construction Contractors. To manage the Contract on behalf of the Council up to final handover. The appointed firm will report to the Senior Executive Parks Superintendent Recreation & Amenity Department throughout. The project also includes specific Landscape & Amenity Works that are referred to in the Part Viii Planning Report provided which are to be included. The Council requires that the appointed Firm will engage a Professional Landscape Architect for this work and also engage suitably qualified Engineering Specialists for certification of Engineering aspects of the Project. The Council requires that works need to be commenced on the ground by August 2017. The facilities proposed include a 200 metre synthetic running track, a grassed running track, two grassed training areas, realigned pavements, lighting, seating, information signage, a trim trail, planting and drainage.
