NUIG/CON442/17 - SFI Research Centres Progress Report and Proposal Development Submission

The Insight Centre for Data Analytics (www.insight-centre.org ) is a joint initiative between researchers at Dublin City University, NUI Galway, University College Cork, University College Dublin, and other partner institutions. It was formed in July 2013 with funding of €58m from Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) for the period July 2013 to June 2019 under SFI’s 2012 Research Centres funding call. Seven Research Centres were funded under this call. Insight has also attracted an additional €20m in funding from industry and has targeted €48m in funding from non-Exchequer (mainly Horizon 2020) funding during this period. NUI Galway acts as the administrative host institute for Insight.
