T.043/2016 - Supply Installation and Commissioning of Classroom Audio Visual Equipment Garda College

The objective for An Garda Síochána in undertaking this procurement process is to ensure the most economical and best quality audio visual classroom equipment is installed in 5 classrooms at the Garda College campus in Templemore, Co. Tipperary. Each of these 5 classrooms has the following equipment currently installed: • Ceiling mounted projector, projecting onto a motorised 1.8 metre screen • Audio amplifier with ceiling speakers • Crestron controller to allow the connection of various PC and audio devices • A podium containing a PC and VGA connection plate etc • Cabling All the AV equipment in the current installation will be removed. The existing cabling can be re-used where suitable. The new installation will consist of the following: • Ceiling mounted projector with VGA,& HDMI inputs, projecting onto a motorised 1.8 metre wide screen. The projector on/off will cause the screen to drop/lift as appropriate. • Active ceiling speakers (2 per room), connected to the above projector. The projector will control the audio switching of the various sources. • Media presentation controller to control projector power, input select and volume. • VGA & audio switcher to allow switching between VGA & audio outputs of desktop PC and laptop VGA connection. This device will also allow for an output to a computer monitor on the podium. • Interface panel to allow for the connection of VGA, audio and HDMI inputs In addition to the 5 classrooms, a spare projector, media presentation controller (fully programmed) and VGA/audio switcher will also be supplied
