The Road Safety Authority (RSA) is a statutory body created by the Road Safety Authority Act 2006. The RSA was established on September 13th 2006 by Statutory Instrument (S.I.) Number 477 of 2006.
The functions for which the RSA is responsible are set out in the Road Safety Authority Act 2006. They include driver testing and training, driver licensing, vehicle standards and enforcement functions, road safety promotion, driver education, and road safety research.
