Morell FMS- Archaeology - Morell River Flood Management Scheme - Archaeological Monitoring

The RFT has ended, you cannot answer the invitation.

The Morell River Flood Management Scheme in County Kildare includes the construction or restoration of over 9,000 metres of embankment, the construction of up to 480m of flood wall, two stream re‐alignments and up to 11 culvert alterations. Construction is underway as of August 2020 and is expected to be completed in 2025. It is a planning condition by An Bord Pleanála (ABP) and a recommendation in the Environmental Impact Assessment Report (EIAR) for the project to engage an Archaeologist to conduct monitoring during the construction phase. Kildare County Council, as a Contracting Authority, has a responsibility to appoint an Archaeologist to complete the monitoring, liaise with and report on the project as per the scope of services (here after “the Services”) as defined under ABP planning conditions and requirements of the EIAR including assessment, monitoring and excavation services.
