Re: Invitation to Tender for Road Safety Improvement Schemes Contract

Tuesday, 28 February 2023

A Dhaoine Uaisle,

Cork City Council now invites interested parties to submit tenders for the Road Safety Improvement Schemes contract. The objective of these schemes is to provide improved road and pedestrian facilities at high-risk locations in the interest of improving road safety, convenience, and public amenity for all road users.

The proposed schemes of works will be located at several locations throughout Cork City Council’s jurisdiction on open National, Regional and Local Roads with live vehicular and pedestrian traffic in urban, public realm, suburban and rural settings.

The works on the schemes will primarily consist of: site clearance, excavation of existing road and footpath pavements, installation of subsurface utility ducting and drainage, construction of new road pavements, footpaths, traffic calming features, landscaping, and installation of traffic signalling and public lighting equipment.

Tenders may be submitted via the electronic tender box facility only, which is accessible through the e-tenders portal. The tender period will be as specified in the etenders notice.

Tenderers must submit ALL required documentation with their tender, i.e. 1) Suitability Assessment Questionnaire, 2) Form of Tender and Schedule, 3) Pricing Document and 4) Works Proposals. Omission of any of the above, 1-4, in whole or in part will invalidate the tender and it will be excluded from consideration in the tender evaluation process.

I shall look forward to receipt of your tender for the contract.

Sincerely,

John Lonergan
