Provision of Investment Management Services to the Courts Service

The Courts Service in accordance with the Courts Service Act 1998 is responsible for the management and administration of the Courts and provides support services for the judiciary. It is in this capacity that the Courts Service has a role in the management and investment of court funds. These funds are invested in line with the provisions of the Trustee (Authorised Investments) Act, 1958 and subsequent orders. The Courts have a custodial role in relation to funds that are lodged in Court pursuant to Court Orders or in compliance with legislative requirements. The Courts Service is issuing an Information Memorandum and Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (IMPQQ) for suitably qualified service providers to provide investment management services for funds held in Court. Further information on the services is contained in Schedule 4 (The Services) of the IMPQQ attached to this notice. Schedule 4 outlines the services being sought across two mandates including their design and management, their investment objectives, and permitted securities amongst other things.
