201603 - Request for Tenders (RFT) for the Appointment to the Single Party Framework for the Design, Development and Delivery of Conversion Programmes

IMDA Skillnet is a training network hosted and promoted by the Irish Medical Devices Association (IMDA). IMDA association is a representative body within Ibec for the medical device and diagnostic sector in Ireland and together represent over 290 companies employing almost 100,000 employees across the multinational and indigenous sectors. IMDA Skillnet is funded by member companies and by the Training Networks Programme, an initiative of Skillnets Ltd, funded from the National Training Fund through the Department of Education and Skills. The purpose of the IMDA Skillnet is to provide training and skills development programmes for companies in the aforesaid medical technology industries. To meet existing and future skills needs of the member companies, the IMDA Skillnet wish to deliver 3 training programmes in process engineering, laboratory analysis and validation and/or automation to convert unemployed people with either machine skills or professional qualifications such as engineering and science to a career in medical technologies or life sciences companies.
