6244 - Bridge Foundation Inspections Qualification System

Iarnród Éireann (IE) invites Applications from suitably qualified companies to participate in the Pre-Qualification process for appointment to a Qualification System for the provision of Bridge Foundation Inspection Consultancy Services, This Qualification System will operate for a period of 3 years (36 months). Background; IÉ is seeking expertise from suitable Consultants for the provision in the area of assessing the depth and material beneath our bridge foundations. Physical works as well as geophysical solutions will be required to accurately determine the depths of the different materials underneath the foundations. Geotechnical expertise will be required to determine the type of material found. Iarnród Éireann has over 650 bridges and many more culverts over water. For these 650 bridges over water, there is only very limited information available on their foundations. Foundations depth is one of the critical parameters required for the scour-vulnerability assessment of the selected bridges.
