Hedgerow Removal and Advanced Fencing Contract

The N5 Westport to Turlough Road Project consists of the construction of 22 kilometres of new road from the N59 on the western side of Westport to east of Castlebar. The Project includes a southern bypass of Castlebar and two rail bridges over the Westport - Dublin rail line. In advance of the main construction contract being undertaken the proposed Fencing and Hedgerow Removal Contract involves the installation of permanent and temporary fencing and gates, clearance of hedgerows, felling of trees and establishment of access routes necessary to undertake these works, along the route of the proposed N5 Westport to Turlough Road Project.
