5746 - VTS Upgrade and Maintenance Support at Rosslare Europort

Rosslare Europort is located on the southeast coast of Ireland, 52° 15’ N 6° 21’ W handling about 4000 shipping movements per annum. Iarnród Eireann IE wishes to upgrade its operating systems for the existing harbour vessel traffic system VTS in the approaches to, and at Rosslare Europort. The requirements referred to in this tender document relate to the supply, installation, commissioning and maintenance of elements required of the VTS following the upgrade. The VTS normally operates as a Local Port Service, as defined by IALA, and from time to time as a means of providing VTS Pilotage Assistance. IE is seeking a turnkey contract to include all aspects of this specification. The General requirement is to: Replace the software of the existing VTS REPLACE • Existing software modules of the STN Atlas 9740 system, which is life- expired. • Associated processing and interface equipment with the hardware components listed in Appendix A and described more thoroughly in Section 3 of the attached draft specification. Please note this specification is subject to change. KEEP, in as much as is practicable, the hardware components of the existing system. Make arrangements for supporting the VTS until 2025 PROVIDE maintenance, management of spare parts, upgrading and technical support for the VTS network for a period of ten years from commissioning. Manage the Transition MAINTAIN operations throughout the installation of the new system and provide a plan to achieve this. Further details will be available at ITT stage.
