Maynooth University - Heavy Fuel Oil Tanks Removal and Burner Conversion to Gas

The heavy fuel oil installation on the South Campus of Maynooth University comprises 9no. 30,000 litre heavy fuel oil storage tanks located in a stone building with a pitched roof. This project involves the emptying and cleaning of the tanks then safe removal from site and disposal of same. The HFO tanks serve a dual-fuel boiler in an adjacent boiler house. The dual fuel boiler is to be converted to run on natural gas as part of this project. The works include all mechanical and electrical works, tank removal specialist works, burner specialist works, and all associated cranes, hoists, builders works, scaffolding, miscellaneous equipment and material required to complete the project. Removal/reinstatement of pitched roof to oil tank store may be required as part of the works dependant on the oil tank removal specialist’s approach.
