UPGRADE AND EXTENSION TO THE EXISTING BUILDING AND ANCILLARY SERVICES AT DOG POUND BUILDING AND GROUNDS, BALLYBANE, TUAM ROAD, GALWAY

The Dog Pound is located in Ballybane Industrial Estate, Tuam Road, Galway. The site of the Dog Pound is outlined in red on Drawing No. 7784-6000-A. The Works consist, in general of the following; The project will involve the upgrade and alterations to the existing Dog Pound Building and a new extension to the existing building with ancillary services. The existing building internal layout is to be altered to include for a vet room and stores. The proposed extension to include a new reception, office, kitchen / canteen and toilet / shower room areas. The existing building is approximately 130m sq with the proposed extension approximately 45m sq. Additional external kennel areas to be provided to the northwest of the building and the southeast kennel areas to be extended. External works include the decommission of existing services under the proposed building and re-laid with connection to existing sewer to suit the proposed site layout. A new oil tank house approximately 17.5m sq to be constructed at the original location of the existing storage container to be relocated. Additional site works includes the replacement of the existing fence line and finishes to the flower bed area.
