N26 Realignment at Cloongullane - Ground Investigation Works

The works include a detailed ground investigation for the realignment of the N26 at Cloongullane, Swinford, County Mayo. The realignment works are approximately 1.7km long and require the construction of a new bridge over the River Moy. The ground investigation works include, but are not limited to, the drilling of boreholes, excavation of trial pits, slit trenching, pavement cores and testing. The investigation involves working within the River Moy SAC (Special Area of Conservation), requiring particular attention to environmental controls to avoid impacts on the qualifying interests of the SAC.
