INVITATION TO TENDER

 

Re: Supply, Delivery, Commissioning and Installation as required of Furniture and Equipment at Temple Carrig Secondary School, Greystones, Co Wicklow, Ireland

 

To Whom It May Concern:

 

Thank you for your interest in this call for tenders. On behalf of the Board of Management of Temple Carrig School, I invite you to tender for the above procurement.

 

Temple Carrig School is a new state-funded secondary school under Church of Ireland patronage which opened in temporary accommodation in Greystones in September 2014. It is expected that the School will grow to an enrolment of close to 800 pupils and in July of this year we will move into the new school building which is currently being built on the campus. This procurement will provide furniture and equipment for the new building.

 

All relevant information for this call for tenders can be found posted on the Irish Etenders website: http://www.etenders.gov.ie/ .

For the purpose of tendering, tenderers are advised to read all the information as provided in the Request for Tender (RFT), the Specification for Loose Furniture and the relevant Furniture and Equipment Lists.

 

Tenders will only be accepted in hard copy format. They may be delivered by hand or posted to Temple Carrig School, Blacklion Manor, Greystones, Co Wicklow.

Tenders must be submitted in duplicate (1 marked ‘Original’ and 1copy) in a sealed package to me at the address above. The package must be marked “Temple Carrig School Furniture and Equipment Procurement and the word “Confidential.” 

 

 

Tenders must be received not later than 13.00 hrs (GMT) on 1st May 2015. The front office of Temple Carrig School is open from 8.30 to 16.00 hours on Monday to Friday. It is closed on Saturdays, Sundays and Public/School holidays. Tenders received after the deadline for receipt of tenders will be deemed inadmissible.

 

Requests for additional information received later than 24th April 2015 will not be processed. All such requests shall be sent by email to the following email address: principal@templecarrigschool.ie. Requests directed to the School’s front office or staff will not be accepted nor replied to.  Questions and answers will be published in a FAQ on www.etenders.gov.ie. The FAQ will be updated regularly and it is the tenderers' responsibility to check for updates and modifications to the FAQs during the tendering period.

 

Please take note of the following:

 

1.      Period of validity of the tender, during which tenderers may not modify the terms of their tenders in any respect: 6 months from the final date for submission.

 

2.      All costs incurred during the preparation and submission of tenders is to be borne by the tenderers and will not be reimbursed.

 

3.      This invitation to tender is in no way binding on Temple Carrig School. Temple Carrig School’s contractual obligation commences only upon signature of a contract with a successful tenderer.

 

4.      Up to the point of signature, Temple Carrig School may either abandon the procurement or cancel the award procedure, without the candidates or tenderers being entitled to claim any compensation. This decision must be substantiated and the candidates or tenderers notified.

 

5.      Tenderers will be informed of the outcome of this procurement procedure by e-mail. It is your responsibility to provide a valid e-mail address together with your contact details in your tender and to check it regularly.

 

6.      Tenderers should be aware that information in relation to this tender may be made available on demand in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act, 1997 and 2003.

 

7.      Tenderers should be aware that award of a contract is conditional on the production of a current tax clearance certificate (Section 2.17 of the RFT).
