Moorepark Design Team 2015 - Construction of Food and Agricultural Research Facilities at Teagasc Moorepark, Fermoy

Teagasc are seeking submissions from full service integrated Design Teams for a number of Campus developments at Moorepark, Fermoy to include provision of new facilities, the renovotion and reuse of existing facilities and the integration of same in line with a Teagasc strategic master plan for the campus to include the issue of optimising overall energy supply & efficiency of use at the Campus. The project services required to include Architectural, Engineering (Civil/Structural, Mechanical/Electrical), Quantity Surveying, H&S Management and Construction Project Tendering & Construction Management services to include the provision of PSDP services and all services pertaining to statutory applications for Planning Permission, Fire Certification, Disability Access certificates and to undertake the roles of Design and Assigned Certifier. The indicative value of the facilities to be provided over the lifetime of this contract is in the order of €15m to €20m and an itemised breakdown of distinct elements of the project will be provided at the tender stage. The initial project to be commenced as soon as a contract is implement is for the provison of upgraded facilities for Moorepark Technology Ltd. (MTL). MTL is a food research and development pilot-plant facility containing versatile pilot scale processing equipment, offerring services which include: pilot plant rental, contract R&D, pre- commercial manufacture and technical assistance, advice and support for the dairy and food processing sectors. Other facilties to be provided include laboratories, offices & ancillaries facilities, conference facilities, canteen facilities and agricultural buildings.
