N17 Carrownurlaur to Ballindine - N17 Carrownurlaur to Ballindine Road Scheme, at North Co. Galway, Ireland

The proposed works will involve construction of approximately 2.4km of Standard Single Type 1 Carriageway, typically with 2 x 3.65m carriageway, 2 x 2.5m hard shoulder, and verges of approximately 3.0m. Approximately 1.4km will comprise predominantly online realignment and widening, 1km approximately is new alignment construction. Works will also entail modification and re-alignment of 3no. existing local side-road junctions and 3no. new junctions including numerous access points, domestic and agricultural, with construction of associated roads. Various landscaping; environmental and mitigation works; accommodation works including access to properties and lands; fencing; pavement construction; roadmarking and signing. Works will also include liaison with third parties and diversion of assets of utilities and service providers including new watermains. Various road drainage works including the provision of drainage outfalls, under wayleave agreements are included.
