OBSERVE PIN - Marine research programme (marine mammal data acquisition) - Observe Programme

As part of a forthcoming scientific research programme (entitled OBSERVE) to be undertaken by Ireland's Department of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources (DCENR) in partnership with the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, DCENR hereby issues a provisional notification of its intention to publish two Requests for Tenders for the delivery of extensive seabird and cetacean survey work within selected marine waters of Ireland's EEZ. The scientific survey work intended under the OBSERVE programme is provisionally expected (a) to commence in 2015 and (b) to involve aerial survey, visual survey and acoustic survey methods.
