Horse Racing Ireland (HRI) was established by the Irish Government under the Horse and Greyhound Racing Act 2001. It is a commercial semi-state body that took over the functions previously carried out by the Irish Horse Racing Authority. HRI is responsible for the administration, promotion and development of Horse Racing in Ireland. HRI subsidiaries include Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Ltd (ITM), Tote Ireland Ltd and HRI Racecourse Division (Leopardstown Racecourse, Fairyhouse Racecourse, Navan Racecourse, Tipperary Racecourse and Leopardstown Golf Centre).

For over four decades it has served as Ireland’s premier golf practice and tuition centre, providing thousands of golfers of all ages with their first introduction to the game side by side with club golfers striving for game improvement.
An investment in recent times by Horse Racing Ireland, has totally transformed the Golf Centre into a state-of-the-art facility geared to meet the expectations and needs of golfers on all levels. The new-look centre incorporates a 74-bay floodlit driving range, including 12 floodlit bays on a second level and 15 outdoor bays, all equipped with quality golf balls and the latest ball dispensing technology. The 22,000 sq. ft. clubhouse incorporates a welcoming reception area, spacious golf shop, concession units, offices, a meeting room, and a bright and comfortable 100-seater restaurant with splendid views of the golf course, racecourse and Wicklow Mountains.
