Invitation to Tender

Background

The Cork Education and Training Board was formed on 1st July, 2013, through the aggregation of Cork City and Cork County Vocational Education Committees. In January it also took over responsibility for all the former FÁS Training provision in the Cork region. It has responsibility for a large range of education and training in Cork, including Primary, Post-Primary, Further Education, Training, Adult and Community Education and Literacy and Numeracy.

Tenders details and specifications

At this time we are inviting tenders for the supply of Classroom/School Furniture to Glanmire Community College, Glanmire, Co. Cork.  

The successful tender must have a current Tax Clearance Certificate, a copy of which must be provided to Cork ETB prior to the order being issued.

All furniture must comply with Irish and European standards (IS EN 1729).  Samples of furniture may be required for inspection at our Head Office in Lavitt’s Quay.

The tender is broken down into 2 lots.

Lot 1:  Classroom Furniture for Temporary Accommodation

Lot 2:  Classroom/School Furniture General

 

Cork ETB reserves the right to break down the Lots.

Award Criteria

Cork ETB will use the Most Economically Advantageous Tender for awarding this tender.  The breakdown will be as follows:

            Price                60%

            Quality             20%

            Aesthetics       20%

 

Delivery of the furniture will be required no later than mid-September.  Please indicate on the Tenderer’s Statement when you would expect to be in a position to deliver of the goods, if your tender is successful. 

Cork ETB reserves the right not to award this tender.

The closing date for receipt of tenders is Friday 8th August, 2014 at 12.00 noon.
