RE:           INVITATION TO TENDER

Roof Repair & Upgrading Works SWS 2014 at St. Patricks GNS, Hollypark, Foxrock, Co. Dublin.

On behalf of our client you are invited to tender for the Roof Repair & Upgrading Works SWS 2014, at St. Patricks GNS, Hollypark, Foxrock, Co. Dublin, as set out in the attached documents which includes Form of Tender and Pricing Schedule, project specification and photographs.

 

It is the intention of the client that the firm appointed as main contractor for the construction of works shall undertake where required, the duties of Project Supervisor Construction Stage as set out in Articles 16 to 23 of Safety, Health and Welfare (Construction) Regulations 2013. Tenders must include all costs associated with the provision of such duties. A Preliminary Health and Safety Plan is included with the tender documents.

 

All tenderers must return the signed DoES Suitability Declaration for Small Works and confirm compliance with all DoES conditions and requirements set out in TGD 007 – refer Dept of Education website. It is a condition of the Department of Education that a C2 Tax Clearance must be in place for grant payment and that you are a member of an approved Construction Industry Pensions Assurance and Sick Pay Scheme.

 

Tenderers are advised to contact the school Principal Ms. Joan Casey, in order to arrange a visit to inspect the nature and extent of the works.

 

Tenders must be submitted on the enclosed Form of Tender and Pricing Schedule.

 

Your tender should be clearly marked “St. Patricks GNS, Foxrock” and returned to our offices Bloomfield House, Bloomfield Avenue, SCR, Dublin 8, not later than 12.00 noon on Tuesday 29th July 2014.

 

The Form of Contract will be the Short Public Works Contract for Building and Civil Engineering Works Designed by the Employer Published by the Department of Finance (Most recently published edition).

 

It is intended to commence and complete the works as soon as practicable after the return of tenders.

Please note that:

1.                                           No tenderer will be remunerated for any expense incurred in preparation of this tender.

2.                                           The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.
