Killyon National School - Two Classroom Extension & Refurbishment of Existing Roofs at Killyon School, Co. Meath.
The project comprises the construction of a new stand-alone single-storey extension (187 sq.m.) to the side of the existing school. The new extension will consist of 2 no. new classrooms, WC facilities, a canopy roof to connect to the existing school and associated external site works. The extension is funded under the Department of Education & Skills Additional Accommodation Scheme. The project also comprises the refurbishment of all existing roofs. The area of flat roof to be refurbished amounts to approximately 465 sq.m.; the area of pitched slate roof to be replaced amounts to approximately 170 sq.m. The roof-works will be funded under the Department’s Summer Works Schemes. The extension and roof-works will be carried out under one single building contract.
