16112A - Ennis Community College - Mechancial Installation upgrade works for summer works scheme 2104

This project concerns the replacement of the existing heating system serving the 1971 Three Story Building, 1995 Foyer Single Storey Extension and the 1995 Engineering Building. This shall include for installing a new zoned two pipe heating system throughout the buildings. In addition to the above works 2No. boilers shall be replaced in the boiler house serving the 1938 School Building. Natural Gas shall be installed in both boilers houses and the existing oil services made redundant. As the works involve alterations to existing services, it is a condition of tendering that the contractor visits the site during the tender period to examine/inspect the exact nature of the works. Claims for additional works will not be entertained where the necessary works could have been determined during the site visit/inspection. The mechanical contractor shall be responsible for all necessary builders’ work and electrical work associated with the mechanical services installation. The proposed works is to install the following services: Three Story Building, Foyer Single Storey Extension, Engineering Building • New space heating system to include radiators and two pipe heating distribution system • New gas fired boilers and flue header. • New heating controls including frost protection, weather compensation and zone controls • Replacement boiler house control panel and all associated electrical works • Removal and disposal of all redundant services to licenced waste facility • New gas installation and gas detection services. • Testing & commissioning. • All associated builders works and making good and redecoration to match existing building finishes. 1938 Building Boiler House • New Gas Fired Boilers and interconnection to existing heating Services • New gas fired boilers and flue header. • All associated electrical works • Removal and disposal of all redundant services to licenced waste facility • New gas installation and gas detection services. • Testing &
