Donegal County Council seek individuals or organisations/companies who will work to design and deliver this Shared History Programme by the end of July 2014. This Shared History programme will deliver accredited training in Donegal for participants and a conflict transformation programme in France and Belgium for people living in Donegal, including members of the Protestant Community, Young People and Ethnic Minority Communities. A key objective of the programme is an increased awareness and understanding of the perspectives of other communities and the shared nature of events that took place during World War I. Quotations are being invited from suitably qualified individuals or organisations/companies to carry out this work. If you are interested in providing a quotation please forward full details of your proposal including your approach – suggested participant recruitment methodology, content of workshops (both pre and post study visit), proposed itinerary for International Study Visit, any relevant speakers whom you will include as part of your programme, proposed monitoring and evaluation methods and a full and detailed budget outlining numbers of participants this would include. (Minimum of 21). As the programme is funded by the European Union’s European Regional Development Fund, through the EU Programme for Peace and Reconciliation, we are keen that the European Union is highlighted during the visit. Please outline in your proposal how you would ensure this formed part of the Study Visit. The programme should ensure that the story of those from Donegal who fought in World War 1 is an integral part of the workshops and study visit and encourage participants to engage in stories from within their own family (where possible) or community/locality.
