ENQEIR399 - EWIC Marine Survey

The objective of this Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) process is to produce a short-list of suitably qualified companies who will be invited to tender for a Marine Survey for the Project. EirGrid is seeking a provider to perform a marine survey this year (2014) to determine the condition of the 2011/12 laid EWIC cables. EWIC runs between Deeside in north Wales and Woodland, County Meath in Ireland, the marine segment being 187km in length. The Contractor shall have the total responsibility for performing all activities necessary to complete the services, including management, engineering, survey operation and deliverables in accordance with the requirements of the Contract. This document provides a description of EirGrid's requirements for this contract as well as details of the services we wish to procure. It also provides information about the selection procedure. EirGrid would like to invite a qualification application from competent companies to carry out geophysical, hydrographic, depth of burial and optional benthic survey campaigns on the existing cable route. EirGrid envisage qualifying between 5 and 7 Candidates from this pre-qualification process, subject to the quality of responses received. It should be noted that EirGrid reserve the right to terminate the contract at any stage.
