INVITATION TO TENDER
Re: Supply, Delivery, Commissioning and Installation as required of Furniture and Equipment at Newpark Comprehensive School, Newtownpark Avenue, Blackrock, Co Dublin, Ireland
Dear Sir/Madam,
Thank you for your interest in this call for tenders. On behalf of the Board of Management of Newpark Comprehensive School, we invite you to tender for the above procurement.
Newpark School is a state-funded secondary school with over 800 pupils in South County Dublin. A new school building is currently being built on the campus and this procurement will provide furniture and equipment for the new building.
All relevant information for this call for tenders can be found posted on the Irish Etenders website: http://www.etenders.gov.ie/ .
For the purpose of tendering, tenderers are advised to read all the information as provided in the Request for Tender (RFT), the Specification for Loose Furniture and the relevant Furniture and Equipment Lists.
Tenders can be delivered via the electronic tender post-box available on www.etenders.gov.ie .
Tenders delivered by hand or post must be submitted in duplicate (1 marked ‘Original’ and 1copy) in a sealed package to the address below. The package must be marked “Newpark Furniture Procurement and the word “Confidential.”

Tenders must be received not later than 16.00 hrs (GMT) on 16 June 2014 The front office of Newpark School is open from 8.30 to 16.00 hours on Monday to Friday. It is closed on Saturdays, Sundays and Public/School holidays. Tenders received after the deadline for receipt of tenders will be deemed inadmissible.
Requests for additional information received later than 6 June 2014will not be processed. All such requests shall be sent by email to the following email address: procurement@newparkschool.ie. Requests directed to the School’s front office or staff will not be accepted nor replied to. Questions and answers will be published in a FAQ on www.etenders.gov.ie. The FAQ will be updated regularly and it is the tenderers' responsibility to check for updates and modifications to the FAQs during the tendering period.
Please take note of the following:
1. Period of validity of the tender, during which tenderers may not modify the terms of their tenders in any respect: 6 months from the final date for submission.
2. All costs incurred during the preparation and submission of tenders is to be borne by the tenderers and will not be reimbursed.
3. This invitation to tender is in no way binding on Newpark School. Newpark School’s contractual obligation commences only upon signature of a contract with a successful tenderer.
4. Up to the point of signature, Newpark School may either abandon the procurement or cancel the award procedure, without the candidates or tenderers being entitled to claim any compensation. This decision must be substantiated and the candidates or tenderers notified.
5. Tenderers will be informed of the outcome of this procurement procedure by e-mail. It is your responsibility to provide a valid e-mail address together with your contact details in your tender and to check it regularly.
6. Tenderers should be aware that information in relation to this tender may be made available on demand in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act, 1997 and 2003.
7. Tenderers should be aware that award of a contract is conditional on the production of a current tax clearance certificate (Section 2.17 of the RFT).
