P13-002 - Provision of necessary services to digitise legacy documentation

The IMB holds significant volumes of paper files/dossiers relating to its regulatory role, these files are currently held in an off-site, secure location. The IMB is subject to Irish employment legislation, including Freedom of Information Acts 1997 and 2003. It is also subject to the European Directive on data protection and the Data Protection Acts of 1988 and 2003. The IMB operates in a highly regulated environment and its documents are highly confidential. With the growth of e-submission and e-filing, the IMB now wishes to digitise its paper-based archive. In addition, the IMB wishes to ensure that the solution and associated digital files are compatible with the IMB’s document management standards and data storage capabilities.
