Call for Competition [Negotiated Procedure]
Ref: [CCE/5229/GM] : Ordering of Electronic Components
To whom it may concern,
Iarnród Éireann (IÉ) invites you to apply for the PQQ phase of CCE/5229/GM (Ordering of Electronic Components).
IÉ places multiple orders annually for low value items (typically between €200 and €500) through a number of service providers who offer catalogue/website ordering of electronic components. These components are delivered same day delivery for orders placed before 12:00pm and next day delivery for orders placed after 12:00pm. The service providers currently used also provide a trade counter facility where items can be collected for urgent requirements. IÉ propose to aggregate this spend and award all small value orders (estimated to be in the region of €125k per annum) to a single service provider who has the infrastructure in place to deliver an efficient service to IÉ.
For reference puposes, IÉ's records show that the following orders have been placed over the past 3 years,
Between €1 and €200, 676 orders have been placed.
Between €201 and €500, 502 orders have been placed.
Between €501 and €1000, 92 orders have been placed.
Of these 1270 individual orders placed over the past 3 years, the vast majority contained multiple lines of low value items (i.e. a shopping cart of products).
The list of items purchased range from (but not limited to);
Relay/Relay Bases.
Electronic Components (Resistors, Capacitors, IC's etc).
