14/0008 - Louth Peace 111 Phase 11 Extension funding for programme 1.5 for Secondary Schools

The Secondary Schools Programme delivered between 2012-2013 has given rise to a need for the schools sector for the delivery of a legacy programme designed to consolidate eth learning from Peace 111 and to pilot a framework for a stand alone programme that will have the capacity to become self-sustaining among secondary schools who have engaged in Peace work and other schools who have not yet done so. A critcal part of this programme will be the involvement of target groups of the Peace 111 Programme thus ensuring that the focus will be on addressing the key issues of sectarianism and racism . The following are summary list of elements and provisions are included in this programme: Consultation with key stakeholders; recruitment of a minimum of 8 schools; recruitment of a minimum of 8 teachers for teacher Training Workshops; use of the SPIRAL toolkit; 1 study visit /residential and recruitment ,development and delivery of School based Peer mentoring training workshops.
