BE/SU/14/02/2014 - Supply of Brake Drums and Discs

The Contracting Authority proposes awarding a contract for The Supply of Brake Drums and Discs on an as required basis for use in the maintenance of bus and coach vehicles for a three year period. The Contracting Authority reserves the right to extend this contract(s) for a further period of 12 or 24 months. The purpose of this Pre Qualification Questionnaire is to obtain sufficient information to enable the Contracting Authority to evaluate the suitability of applicants with the necessary resources and capacity to achieve the contract objectives. This will be a negotiated procedure. In order to be considered for participation in a tendering competition for this contract, suitable qualified interested parties must complete and submit the pre-qualification questionnaire provided. The intention will be to arrive at a Tender Panel of potential suppliers for formal Invitation to Tender (ITT), against the requirement and Conditions of Contract. It is intended that following PQQ evaluation, and depending on the quality of details submitted, that at least five (5) entities will be invited to submit formal Invitation to Tender (ITT) documents. Following receipt of tenders, Bus Eireann may negotiate as necessary with one or more tenderers and will award the contract the most economically advantageous offer received. If a request to participate is submitted by a group of suppliers, then those suppliers, if awarded the contract shall assume such legal form by incorporation, partnership, or otherwise so as to enable them to contract as a single entity. It will be necessary for the satisfactory performance of the contract for the group to state a single addressee responsible for the receipt and processing of the participating orders and resolving any problems relating to the contract
