Youth Education - To actively work towards integrating ‘new communities’ into Co. Sligo.

THE CONTRACT HAS BEEN AWARDED TO FOROIGE. 1.Organise an opening and closing event. 2.Raise understanding and awareness of minority groups of the value of youth work and community engagement of young people via leaders within various minority groups/associations. 3.Build the trust and communication between mainstream youth services and minority groups via organised visits with leaders of groups and associations e.g. polish / Indian and members (parents). This is about minority youth being enabled to access services where their parent / guardian trust, understand and value participation. 4.Organise translation of written material with/by young people and have proofed by translator. This would be sustainable as young people can do translation work and you would then have a contact within minority group to proof going forward once links made. 5.Organise family day/s during summer time to strenghten links.
