The Earth Institute within University College Dublin currently comprises over 80 principal investigators (faculty) and their teams with multidisciplinary expertise, who are associated with one or more of 8 key research themes: Water, Climate, Green Technologies, Energy and Resources, Sustainable Cities and Regions, Ecology and Evolution, Natural Hazards and Risk. The Soil Science Group within the Institute wishes to purchase a laboratory / field deployable instrument to determine the trace gases CO2, CH4 and N2O and their stable isotope compositions. This equipment will be used for gas concentration and isotope measurements of environmental samples (soils, water, plants) and the analysis of solid samples (e.g. soil organic C).
