External professional specialist services are required by Irish Aid for specific Technical and Research Support outputs to the Irish Aid Expert Advisory Group. The external service provider will be required to perform specialised project-oriented outputs and services in connection with clear and quantifiable deliverables which shall be detailed. It is envisaged that the outputs and services will cover the following areas: a)Carry out desk research on Ireland’s policy commitments as well as relevant literature on the linkages, complementarities and coherence between development cooperation, economic, political objectives in Africa; b)Compare Ireland’s approach in this area to that of other donors; c)Attend, as appropriate, and provide specialist input into meetings which the Group may wish to arrange; d)Accompany Group members on relevant visits to Irish Aid Partner Countries and provide specialist input; e)Prepare, as directed by the Expert Advisory Group, a report for submission to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade and the Minister of State for Trade and Development.
