Dear Candidate

This competition concerns a concession to manage, maintain and operate Grange Castle Golf Club.

Interested parties are invited to consult the associated qualification questionnaire, which contains further detail regarding the competition and precise instructions concerning the submission of Expressions of Interest.

It is emphasised that the subject-matter of this competition comprises a service concession, in that the successful economic concessionaire will be remunerated for the provision of the required services through the management, maintenance and operation of the golf club to the public.

As a service concession, this competition is not subject to the provisions of Directive 2004/18/EC.

Economic operators are advised that the economic risk inherent to the delivery of the required service will rest fully with the successful concessionaire. South Dublin County Council offers no guarantee, express or implied, regarding the commercial viability or profitability of this concession.

It is emphasised that successful candidates will be required to propose a financial contribution, payable to South Dublin County Council, for the right to exploit the required service. The tender document issued to successful candidates will contain further details in this regard.
